Beyond profession

 Rotarian commitment

I am a member of the Rotary Club Bologna Valle del Savena since 2010. I set on the Club’s Board of directors in the year 2012/2013, and I was subsequently elected as Club President for the year 2014/2015.  In August 2014 and in February 2015 I took part in two humanitarian missions to Nicaragua, and worked with the dump children of the city of Chinandega. In June 2015, I was awarded the rotarian recognition of Paul Harris Fellow and I am a member of the Paul Harris Society.

I presently serve as Committee member of the Rotary International District 2072 (Emilia-Romagna and Republic of San Marino). For the year 2016/2017, I was appointed member of District Committee for the Rotary Foundation, and President of District Subcommittee for Rotary Volunteers. I am a member of the Paul Harris Society.

 ELSA Commitment to young professionals

Thirty years after having founded Italy’s first local section of ELSA – The European Law Students’ Association, in 1986, I continue to support ELSA-Bologna and ELSA-Italy in their activities, as a form of my commitment to internationally oriented law students and young lawyers. I am also member of ELS – The ELSA Lawyers Society (the international alumni association of ELSA).

 My interests and passions

I have a number of interests, mainly in cultural topics, such as literature and art, foreign languages, geography and history. Particularly, among these, two can be characherised as passions:

- classical music, especially ancient, renaissance and baroque music, piano and chamber music repertoire, ancient and modern opera. I sing bass in the Bologna Bar Association choir, “Le Note a Verbale”;

- alpine skiing, a passion cultivated in the skiing resort of Corno alle Scale, on the Bolognese Apennines, which led to a keen interest in skiing technique and in the technique of ski construction.
